We like to celebrate at the Old Coach House and Easter gave us the chance to. This year we hatched some eggs for the residents enjoyment. We started with an incubator and 10 eggs and eagerly anticipated what would hop out of them. A few days later we had 8 cheery yellow chicks cheeping and being passed around the home. We also had an Easter day of fun to encourage families to bring their children to see their relative and the cute little chicks that were rapidly growing into small chickens. The residents enjoyed an Easter Bonnet competition, Easter Card making and watching the children hunt around the courtyard for chocolatie and eggs. After two weeks the company came to take the incubator away and a member of staff took the chicks to their new home in the form of her fathers allotment. Everyone is looking forward to next year so we can see some more eggs hatching
